Anthony F. De Marco
Dr. Anthony F. De Marco has a wealth of experience in the practice of hypnotism. He is the author of the 1994 Regulation of the New Jersey Board of Psychological Examiners which permits hypnotists to practice their profession in NJ. He received his B.A. & L.L.B. from Seton Hall University and Law School, and Ph.D. from St. John’s University. He is the co-founder of the Academy of Professional Hypnosis, which is the first school of hypnosis approved in 1991 as a post-secondary vocational school of hypnosis by the State of New Jersey Department of Education. Its graduates include medical doctors, psychologists, chiropractors, nurses, massage therapists, teachers and persons interested in healing self and others. Many of these graduates and practicing hypnotists refer their challenging cases to him for his expertise.
Tony is the Co-founder and chief-advisor to the National Association of Certified HypnoCounselors, Advisory Board Member of the NGH, IACT & NACH, national presenter for the National Guild of Hypnotists, and recipient of its prestigious President’s Award for his contribution to the profession of hypnotism, the Rexford L. North Award, the highest that this 10,000+ member organization awards, the International Association of Counselors & Therapists, and is also a recipient of its President’s Award for his “dedication to the enrichment of the Hypnotherapy profession”, the International Medical and Dental Association, the American Board of Hypnotherapy and the International Hypnosis Federation. He is in his 14th year as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Council of Professional Hypnosis Organizations of the United States and Canada (COPHO), and a member of the C.G. Jung Foundation of New York, and incorporates much of Dr. Jung’s theories into his own insightful work. Dr. De Marco is also the Vice President of the National Federation of Hypnotists Union (OPEIU-AFL/CIO).
Since 1991, Tony has been a member of the Board of Directors of the state-funded Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey and its Secretary, which is funded in the yearly amount of $1,000,000 to maintain the 1-800-GAMBLER help line, to educate the public, senior citizens and school children about the dangers of problem gambling, as well as refer patients to treating facilities. He has been a counselor on this help line for eighteen years and has spoken to and counseled many gamblers, drug addicts, and alcoholics (because many of the compulsive gamblers were dually addicted or triple threats), and their families, friends, loved ones, and significant others. He has listened to hundreds upon hundreds of therapies both in his practice and self-help groups.
Tony is a columnist of the prestigious Journal of the National Guild of Hypnotists, author of many hypnosis articles, and author of an Addictions Practice Manual entitled “Slaying the Dragon of Addiction”, embodying a program of hypnosis treatment for addictions complemented by other methods of self-help that is utilized by hypnotists throughout the USA. Dr. De Marco designs and presents seminars and workshops for lay persons and also specifically for practicing hypnotists on energy healing, addictions, pain management, hypnosis, weight management, smoking cessation, Past Life Regression, Law of Attraction, emotion cleansing, and stress alleviation throughout the United States. He was inducted into the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame in 1996.
James Malone became a Certified Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists in 1995. In 2001 he earned an earned alternative doctoral degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy from American Pacific University with a dissertation project on weight control. His private hypnosis counseling practice in Point Pleasant Beach has been voted for several times as the Best of the Best-Holistic Care in Ocean County” in the Asbury Park Press readers’ poll. An adjunct instructor with the Ocean County College Adult and Continuing Education programs, he also publishes the popular online Creative Calm newsletter, which reaches a worldwide audience. Jim is a captivating presenter at the meetings of the National Association of Certified HypnoCounselors for several years. He is the author of ‘Nine Hypnotic Tales’ and ‘Fascinating Stories For Your Positive Transformation’, and ‘Calm Your Tinnitus, The Less You Fear It, The Less You Hear It.’ Jim has been teaching marketing at the Academy of Professional Hypnosis since 2010 and is truly well-respected by Academy students.

John Kalinowski graduated magna cum laude from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) with a B.S. in electrical engineering and a computer science minor. He designs scientific instruments for industry and aerospace applications, and has patents in signal recovery and electronic imaging cameras. He was president and owner of ElectroSolutions Inc. The company manufactured electronic scientific instruments of his own design which were sold to researchers and scientists in the US and overseas. He established Mindshift Media LLC to produce and distribute his hypnosis and relaxation audio recordings and publications.
John is also a professional musician. He played bass in bands which entertained at concerts, weddings, parties and night clubs throughout NJ, NY and PA. He now performs on trombone with the Raritan Valley Symphonic Band. Not limited to the performing arts, he explores the visual arts as an aspiring metal sculptor.
He studied client-centered hypnosis and hypnotic techniques at the Academy of Professional Hypnosis and has attended numerous continuing education workshops offered through the National Guild of Hypnotists. He successfully completed workshops presented by international author and master hypnotist Roy Hunter and several other prominent hypnotists. John has advanced training in hypnotic methods for resolving inner conflicts through subconscious release and relearning. His main fields of interest are techniques and methods for improving performance and enhancing creativity in the performing and visual arts through self-hypnosis.
He also studied methods for teaching adults—with special emphasis on generational learning styles—through the Learning Resources Network under Bill Draves, a leading expert in lifelong learning and online learning.
John is an Academy of Professional Hypnosis Certified Hypnocounselor, a National Guild of Hypnotists Certified Hypnotist and a Learning Resources Network Certified Teacher of Adults.
He is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, National Association of Certified Hypnocounselors, The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and American Federation of Musicians Local 204-373.
Along with being an instructor at the Academy he also teaches an advanced self-hypnosis course that is offered through adult and community education programs during the school year. John teaches the art of self-hypnosis with the heart of a musician, the science of self-hypnosis with the mind of an engineer and ties both elements together with the soul of an artist.

Dr. John Gatto completed his Masters of Science from St. John’s University and Doctoral Degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. He is a Co- founder and president of the National Association of Certified HypnoCounselors, president of the Greater New Jersey Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists, and a delegate from New Jersey to the Council of Professional Hypnosis Organizations (COPHO), an organization dedicated to the unification of hypnotists.
He brings to these courses a wealth of experience and a belief that through the use of hypnosis one can change and enhance one’s opportunities for a more beneficial and rewarding life. He possesses a true vision of the power of the mind and the destruction of those boundaries that limit the human potential for goodness, truth, and beauty. Upon graduating from Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine of Loyola University in June 1966, Dr. Conte trained in radiology and nuclear medicine at Upstate Medical Center, SUNY in Syracuse, NY. He is board certified in General Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Diagnostic Radiology with Special Competence in Nuclear Radiology. He has been a practicing physician for 35 years and is former Chief of Nuclear Medicine at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, former Medical Director of the Medical Imaging Department at St. Michael Medical Center in Newark, and is currently Chief of Nuclear Medicine at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center located in Paterson, NJ.
He has had many research articles published in the medical and radiologic journals, and is the radiology editor of the textbook entitled, Effective Medical Imaging.Dr. Conte is a certified Ayurvedic practitioner and graduated from the School of Ayurveda under the tutelage of Swami Sada Shiva Tirtha (author of the Ayurveda Encyclopedia) in Bayville Long Island. He is an Ayurvedic instructor and cofounder of the State approved American School of Ayurveda, East Hanover, NJ. He recently was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Ayurveda Medicine from Westbrook University. Also, he is the author of “Converging Paths of Ancient Ayurveda and Modern Medicine” (to be published this September).
In addition, Dr. Conte is a graduate of the Academy of Professional Hypnotherapists and is a certified advanced clinical hypnotherapist and a master hypnotist. He has given lectures and seminars on Ayurveda and as well as hypnosis, including chakra healing, meditation, past life regression, Ayurveda and stress, and other related topics. He has also published newspaper articles on Ayurveda.
